I am a teacher turned social worker, a practicing Christian and an active politician.
A graduate of Bachelor of Arts with Education and Masters of Arts in social sector planning and management.
Worked as a graduate teacher, District Gender Office and has served as three-time member of Parliament. While in
Parliament served as the Chairperson Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Chaired the East African Public accounts committee
(EAPAC) and served as the vice chairperson of the Common Wealth Association of Public Accounts Committee (CAPAC).
Chaired the select committee of Parliament on the humanitarian situation in Acholi, Lango and Teso Subregions during the
LRA war. Was the founder chairperson on Parliamentary Forum on Road safety.
Previously served as Secretary General and Deputy Party President in the FDC Party.
I served as the convener of the New Formation a loose grouping, a task which involved bringing together all like minded
individuals and promoters from all over Uganda and the Diaspora which culminated into the registration of the Alliance
for National Transformation.
Passionate about preaching the gospel and advocacy for the vulnerable, women empowerment and political accountability. I
am a farmer, small scale business woman and a consultant of gender and leadership.
Current responsibilities include.
Oversight of the secretariat operations. Coordination of the Leadership Teams, ensuring formulation of relevant
guidelines, networking with stakeholders and building partnerships, organising trainings and Party meetings. Budgeting
and budget implementation. Routine administration and ensuring of Party discipline. This office will evolve into the
office of the Secretary General after the first Delegates Conference has put in place substantive Party Leadership.

Grace Atuhaire is a KAAD PhD Scholar at the Institute of Political Science, Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen,
Germany. She holds a Master in Global Studies with a Special Focus on Peace and Security in Africa, a joint programme of
the Institute for Peace and Security Studies (IPSS), of Addis Ababa University and University of Leipzig and a Bachelors
of Arts in Social Sciences Kyambogo University, Uganda.
Ms. Atuhaire has worked in different capacities with the Institute for Peace and Security Studies(2018-19), The United
Nations Office of Drugs and Crime (2017), Action Aid International (2012-2016), Bayimba Cultural Foundation and Real
Marketing Ltd. She is a member of Uganda women Writers Association, Rotary International, FemWise-Africa and the African
Union_Youth4Peace Group.
